'''Cannie Gunz Twinz''' (a.k.a Cannie Gunz) are Twin producers/rappers born in The Bronx, New York|, New York, United States..They grew up being in love with classical Music which their father always played for them since when they were young.
They came to Nigeria and stayed in Ahmadu Bello University Campus where they completed their high school education.In the campus they were exposed to Hip hop by Students and Friends. Listening to Artists Like Canibus,Akon,Jay Dizzle,Lil Wayne,50 Cent,Jus Allah,Jedi Mind Tricks & Many others, made them have great Love for Rap. Living in an environment of Music, they wanted to be like others, to start writing songs.They started writing their own songs.As years went by, they gradually learnt how to produce beats (Influenced by producers like Timbaland,Dr. Dre,Eminem,e.t.c). Loving Both Classical Music and Hip hop, they looked for a way to join both, forming a very unique style of beats which was surprising to artists & other producers.People felt their Lyrics,Punchlines,Metaphors & Beats in particular.As they made some of their first beats they loved to put gun-shot sounds in them.And whenever they rapped in public,they always referred themselves as two guns attacking the cipher.So people gradually started calling them C-gunz which they later decided to change the name to Cannie Twinz.
They later met Jay Dizzle (a rapper in Nigeria) in the campus and he introduced them to Jay Daemon, who exposed them to things like the A.B.U Cypher and Rap Battle Grounds which made them blow up quickly.
They are currently working on an album "Lyricology: The Twin Towers" which is being promoted in New York and Washington.
Their Father Prof. P.B. Madakson who is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering is their Mentor. They are both reading Engineering in order to become like him someday.
Cannie Twinz have since been producing songs for Artists both in USA and Nigeria. |
